I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.Groucho Marx

Whether you are for or against the war; the elections in Iraq were an amazing testimony to the power of prayer.

A little over two weeks ago some of the members of our church felt led to pray for the upcoming elections in Iraq.  My wife organized a prayer vigil and was able to sign up people to cover the elections in prayer from 7 am Saturday morning to 6 pm Sunday evening.

My time slot was 5 am Sunday morning.  I took our dog for a walk in the freshly falling snow.  I was impressed by the power of God to give us all a new beginning.  There is something about a landscape covered in snow that reminds me of Christ's blood washing away our sins and making us white as snow.
